When we read about Jesus life, an how he lived day to day, it’s pretty clear to see that he lived out his love for God and others by serving them in lots of different ways. He even said about himself, “That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not be served--and then to give away his life in exchange for the many who are held hostage.” Mat 20:28
We don’t want to just be people that talk about Jesus, learn what he taught and try not to do bad things. We want to live out this revolution in love like Jesus demonstrated with his whole life.
He taught people, fed people, listened to people, hung out with ALL kinds of people, cried with people, and suffered for them. He sacrificed his life for others.
We have opportunities to practice serving others during annual activities like Toys for Tots distribution, and 30 hour famine, quarterly with small groups, monthly at hot meal ministry, and weekly at each program.
