by Tony Myles:I had this Sunday off teaching, so I joined my family at our favorite local church community. On the way out of service my oldest son (at 4 1/2 years old) was tapping me on the back and asking, "Daddy, do you feel God touching you?"
Cool!
In order to fully appreciate this, you need to rewind back a bit further to a conversation he and I had a couple of weeks ago. We were talking about how God is invisible and the implications of believing in Someone you can't see.
"Where is God?" Joshua asked.
"God is everywhere," I tried to explain.
"But I can't see Him," he rather appropriately said.
I don't know where the inspiration came from - wait, yeah I do... but I reached behind his back and started tapping him in a playful way. He giggled and tried to find my finger, but I quickly used my other hand to tap him from the other side as he turned. "Did you feel that?" I asked.
"Yeah," he said, still laughing.
"Did you see it, though?"
"No, but I felt it!" he said, tracking with me.
"Sometimes in the Bible God touched people from the outside. After Jesus, though, He started touching us from the inside when we know when something is right or wrong to do. But here's what's cool - God uses other people to touch us from the outside."
"WOW!" he said.
"That's why it's important to love your neighbor... it helps them to feel God from the outside so that they can want to feel him on the inside."
"COOL! Um, hey, Daddy?"
"Yeah."
"I love you."

"I love you, too, buddy."
Wow... here's the part where we insert the NBC "The More You Know" logo and media.
"I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." (Luke 18:17)
